About Us

Swift Creek Fire Department consists of roughly 60 paid and volunteer members. Located in the southwestern part of Wake County, NC, our department has provided fire protection and emergency medical services since 1960. Through our single station and committed staff, we host a fleet of fire and rescue apparatus for Swift Creek and surrounding areas. Swift Creek members hone their skills year round in firefighting and medical training to better serve the citizens in our response area.

Volunteer

If you are looking for a way to help others, volunteer firefighting is a great way to give back to the community. However, becoming a volunteer comes with the expectation of being dedicated to the work and training, willingness to learn, and an ability to adapt and overcome any obstacle. If you don't have experience in firefighting or emergency medical services, don't worry, because we are committed to train those who are willing to put the effort. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter with Swift Creek, feel free to come to one of our Tuesday night trainings (7:00pm) or contact us using the info below.
